Light the Night Walk
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light The Night Walk
takes place Friday Night September 24 at Stankowski Field on the Mizzou Campus.

It's a 2-mile family-friendly evening walk that includes music, food and festivities. Contact: 1-800-264-CURE or visit lightthenight.org

Light The Night is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's annual evening walk to celebrate and commemorate lives touched by cancer. Each fall, teams of friends, families and co-workers gather in cities and towns across America. They walk in twilight, holding illuminated balloons - white for survivors and red for supporters. More than a walk, the evening includes music, food and family activities.

Why Is Light The Night Important?
More than 670,000 Americans have leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. Every five minutes, someone new is diagnosed with blood cancer. Every nine minutes someone dies. As a nonprofit, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society relies on the generosity of individuals, corporations and foundations to advance our mission. Over 89% of the Gateway chapter's total expenses support cancer research, education, advocacy and patient services. (benefits:Leukemia & Lymphoma Society)
